We Move

In 2008, Concordia moved its medical business to a new facility in Warwick, RI, where Concordia Medical was able to expand its capabilities to produce a variety of non-woven bioabsorbable polymer substrates.

We Continue to Innovate

In the early 2000s, Concordia again took its innovative skills into new fields. Utilizing its years of experience in fiber handling, the company began designing and building machines specialized in forming textile structures from bioabsorbable fibers. A new 1,000 square foot cleanroom was added in 2003.

We Expand into Engineered Products

In the late 1980s, Concordia took its fiber handling expertise to new levels, using textile science to expand its capabilities into engineered products, including advanced composites for aerospace, filtration media, power transmission belts, sailcloth, and many other applications.

We Are Founded

Founded in North Adams, Massachusetts in 1920 as a manufacturer of silk yarns. For the next 70 years, the company grew to become a leading producer of synthetic yarns and threads for traditional textile applications.
